The final two weeks of marathon training before running the New York Marathon on the 5th November. A training plan which pretty much started on the 27th December 2016, but the majority of the training began after the Paris Marathon in April. The New York marathon will be day 192 of this training block. Have a read how these 14 days went leading up to the marathon.
Just four weeks left until it is marathon day, my forth marathon of 2017 and possibly the biggest race of my life. I spent week 3 out in Arizona cycling 313 miles into Las Vegas, but have a read how week 4 went once I got back running in the UK.
Now Berlin is done, it is time to officially concentrate on the New York marathon which is only six weeks away. This is the first block of New York training.
After 19 weeks of training I enter the final 2 weeks of my Berlin training. Two weeks of tapering and resting up for Berlin.....
Having signed up for Ironman UK it is time to get some open water swimming experience. I have had 4 weeks of pool swimming which has seen my confidence and speed grow, now its time to take it outside!
After 17 weeks of training, these are my final two weeks of "proper" training before entering taper for weeks 20 & 21 then marathon time... it is getting close!
After deciding to run the Tatton 10k late on I was lucky enough to gain a place from my Instagram friend Caithy Walker, the race was an early one starting at 8:30am and it was cold!!! (for September)
