This is my review of how things went for me during 2017. This was my second year of running, but really the first year where I actually had some structure to it.
After July's GoTri this was my first attempt at a Sprint distance triathlon and forms part of my continuing training towards a full Ironman in Bolton next July.
After 19 weeks of training I enter the final 2 weeks of my Berlin training. Two weeks of tapering and resting up for Berlin.....
My first mass start open water swim / race and my first swim over 1 mile. A lot of firsts for one day, have a read how things went on what was a very chilly morning in London
Having signed up for Ironman UK it is time to get some open water swimming experience. I have had 4 weeks of pool swimming which has seen my confidence and speed grow, now its time to take it outside!
After 17 weeks of training, these are my final two weeks of "proper" training before entering taper for weeks 20 & 21 then marathon time... it is getting close!
After missing 3 weeks of training due in injury, it is time to get back at it and get marathon ready for Berlin, just 4 weeks to go until the big day, just how ready am I going to be for this after missing 3 weeks? Also stepping up my swim training now with the 2 mile Swim Serpentine event less than 3 weeks away now!!!
