Marathon number 3 and my first World Marathon Major. I ran this marathon as part of the Prostate Cancer UK team and like all marathons, it was a marathon of two halves. A good half and a not so good half.
After 19 weeks of training I enter the final 2 weeks of my Berlin training. Two weeks of tapering and resting up for Berlin.....
After 17 weeks of training, these are my final two weeks of "proper" training before entering taper for weeks 20 & 21 then marathon time... it is getting close!
My second 10k race in two weeks and I am starting to feel like my pre-injury speed is coming back now I have a good three weeks of running in the legs. How a read to see how the Sandbach 10k went for me.
After missing 3 weeks of training due in injury, it is time to get back at it and get marathon ready for Berlin, just 4 weeks to go until the big day, just how ready am I going to be for this after missing 3 weeks? Also stepping up my swim training now with the 2 mile Swim Serpentine event less than 3 weeks away now!!!
